Links to great Video Clips

There are SO many videos of Amelia. I LOVE how her feminine shyness shows through her strong, confident outer shell. She will be in the middle of delivering a bold speech and seem so self assured and then turn away from the microphone and giggle out of embarrassment. Here are a few I found to be particularly interesting which include her speaking as well as some good shots of her plane.

This one is a documentary called "In Search of Amelia Earhart" that was broadcast on the history channel in 1976. This is the link to part 1 of 3:

This video is a CBS Documentary "The Lost Journey of Amelia Earhart" It details the final moments before she vanished and includes interviews with experts and Hilary Swank who discuss her character, marriage, self promotion and her motivations for flying:

Interestingly enough, I am working in Wichita, KS for the summer which is about 3 hours away from Amelia's hometown of Atchinson. I'll be making the 15 hour drive back to Pittsburgh in the fall and hope I can stop at the Amelia Earhart airport in Atchinson on the way and maybe look at her old neighborhood!
